Dr. J. Szpunar (T-III *) is a Prof. (past Tier I CRC) at U. Saskatchewan. Previously, he was a Prof. of Materials Science and Birks Chair in Metallurgy at McGill U. His research interests extend to structure and properties of thin films in electronic interconnects; synergy of wear; fatigue and failure; and properties of nanocrystalline materials. He has led 49 major research projects related to material research, and authored more than 800 research papers, several patents, technology transfers. HQP: 74, h-index: 54.
