Dr. M. Elbestawi (R-I *) is a Prof. at Mechanical Engineering, McMaster U., and Director of W. Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology (SEPT). As VP Research, he oversaw all institutional research activities and partnerships, technology transfer, and economic development opportunities, locally, nationally and internationally. He has worked in industry for several years as research engineer and unit head in structural dynamics at the Ontario Hydro Research Division. Dr. Elbestawi is internationally renowned for AM research concerning machining systems and computer aided manufacturing. He has 260+ archived papers, contributions to 4 books, and 3 patents.
